Text Sectio Growing up in Maplewood and later raising her own family here, Claire Sinclair embodies the deep-rooted community spirit that defines Maplewood and South Orange. Her ties to the area run generations deep. Claire’s parents and husband are lifetime residents of the two towns, and more than eight members of her family have proudly graduated from Columbia High School, spanning classes from 1963 through 2020. By profession, Claire is a dedicated Kindergarten teacher at Tuscan School, where she helps shape young minds with patience, care, and creativity. Outside the classroom, she has long nurtured another passion: photography. What began as a hobby evolved into a meaningful way to document and celebrate local life. Through her work with Village Green, Claire has captured countless moments that reflect the heart of the community. From joyful festivals and school milestones to everyday scenes that highlight neighborly connections, Claire brings her camera to events filled with laughter, pride, and togetherness. Her photographs showcase the unmistakable small-town charm of Maplewood and South Orange—authentic, welcoming, and rich with shared history. Through her lens, the spirit of the community isn’t just seen; it’s felt. n |
