The Maplewood Garden Club has been a cornerstone of the community since 1927, fostering a deep appreciation for horticulture among residents.
As the club approaches its 99th year, it continues to thrive, offering a variety of events and programs that engage gardeners of all ages.
One of the highlights of the club's calendar is the annual plant sale, renowned throughout the state for its exceptional selection and quality.
The 89th Annual Plant Sale is scheduled for May 7, 8, and 9 at the Maplewood Community Pool.
Garden enthusiasts can look forward to a wide array of plants, including annuals, perennials, herbs, and vegetables.
Proceeds from the sale support various community projects, such as scholarships and public garden maintenance.
In addition to the plant sale, the club hosts monthly meetings featuring expert speakers.
On May 4th, at 7:30 PM, Fred Carl will present "Rainbow of Dahlias" at The Woodland.
This presentation will delve into the diverse world of dahlias, offering cultivation tips and insights into their vibrant varieties.
For those interested in youth gardening, the MapleFood Garden program provides an excellent opportunity.
