I AM YOU: Tatum Sabin's Vibrant Exhibition Opens at SOPAC

Celebrating Black and Women's Voices Through Bold Artistry

South Orange, NJ—The Herb + Milly Iris Gallery at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) is set to unveil I AM YOU, a compelling exhibition by emerging artist Tatum Sabin, on February 5, 2026.

Running through March 15, this showcase features paintings crafted over the past two years, highlighting Sabin's evolution through bold colors and expressive techniques.

Sabin, a Columbia High School alumna and current Howard University student, infuses her Caribbean American heritage into her art, celebrating Black and women's experiences.

Her works blend portraiture with abstraction, incorporating recycled materials to emphasize sustainability.

The opening reception is scheduled for February 5 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at SOPAC, located at 1 SOPAC Way, South Orange, NJ.

Admission is free, and attendees are encouraged to RSVP.
