Maplewood is gearing up for a vibrant celebration of Independence Day on July 4, 2026, offering a variety of activities for residents and visitors alike.
The day kicks off with a 5K race at 8 a.m. at the CHS Track & Field, setting an energetic tone for the festivities.
At 10 a.m., families can enjoy a bike parade starting from Ricalton Square, showcasing community spirit.
For the younger crowd, a Kids Fun Run for ages 2–13 begins at 10:30 a.m. at Memorial Park North.
Adults can join a pickup softball game at noon in the same park, fostering friendly competition.
Afternoon events at the Maplewood Community Center include Bingo at 1:30 p.m., a Pet Parade at 3 p.m. (pre-registration required, pets must be leashed), and an Ice Cream Eating Contest at 4 p.m., sponsored by the Maplewood Rotary Club.
The evening festivities commence at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Park South, featuring music from DJ Jimmy, a light show, food vendors, and family entertainment.
The highlight of the day, a fireworks display, is scheduled for 9 p.m., promising a spectacular conclusion to the celebrations.
Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to fully enjoy the day's offerings.
In addition to the July 4 events, Maplewood will host the annual Maplewoodstock Music + Art Festival on July 11–12, 2026, at Memorial Park.
This free, two-day festival features performances by artists such as Anders Osborne and Lettuce, along with local bands, arts and crafts vendors, and a variety of food and drink options.
