Community Invited to Participate in Annual Holiday Tradition |
The South Orange Symphony invites the community to a special sing-along performance of Handel's 'Messiah' on Tuesday, December 9, at 7:30 PM.
This cherished event will take place at the First Presbyterian & Trinity Church, located at 111 Irvington Avenue in South Orange.
Under the baton of Susan Haig and guest conductors, attendees will have the opportunity to sing Part I of this iconic oratorio, culminating in the triumphant 'Hallelujah Chorus.'
Vocal soloists for the evening include Caitlin Caulfield (soprano), Cornelia Lotito (contralto), Keaun Guy (tenor), and Sean Cooper (bass-baritone).
Participants are encouraged to bring their own scores; however, some will be available on-site.
For those who prefer to listen, the event promises an evening of inspiring music.
An optional chorus brush-up rehearsal is scheduled at 6:45 PM for those interested.
Admission is free, and street parking is available on South Orange Avenue, Irvington Avenue, and Academy Street.
For more information, please contact the First Presbyterian & Trinity Church office at 973-762-7879.
In addition to this musical celebration, South Orange offers a vibrant arts scene during the holiday season.
