Residents of Maplewood's Districts 1, 3, and 6 should prepare for a significant change in their voting routine starting with the upcoming June 2 primary election.
Previously, voters in these districts cast their ballots at the Maplewood Town Hall located at 574 Valley Street.
However, due to concerns over limited space and the need for enhanced privacy during voting, the polling location has been relocated.
The new venue is the community room at the recently renovated Maplewood Memorial Library, situated at 51 Baker Street.
This move aims to provide a more comfortable and secure environment for voters. [object Object] announced this change during the April 21 Township Committee meeting.
She emphasized the township's commitment to informing residents about the new polling location through extensive social media outreach.
Fritzen also reminded residents that the deadline to register for the June 2 primary is May 12.
