SOMA, New Jersey Resident Apollo Poetry Shines in MrBeast's Beast Games Season 2

Local talent competes for $5 million prize in Amazon Prime's hit series

Apollo Poetry, a resident of the South Orange-Maplewood (SOMA) community, has been selected from over 400,000 applicants to participate in Season 2 of MrBeast's Beast Games.

Recognized as one of the "100 Smartest People on the Planet," Apollo brings a unique blend of intellectual prowess and emotional intelligence to the competition.

The series, which premiered on Amazon Prime Video on January 7, 2026, offers a record-breaking $5 million grand prize.

To celebrate Apollo's achievement, a special viewing event is scheduled for tonight, January 14, at The Ainsworth Midtown in New York City.

Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m.

Attendees can look forward to appearances by contestants from both Beast Games Season 2 and former participants of Survivor and Squid Game.
