Wizard of Oz Musical in Maplewood Shout Outs

Excitement is building in South Orange and Maplewood as the Class  Act Performing Arts Studio prepares to present "The Wizard of Oz" at the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) from May 8 to May 10, 2026.

 

This beloved musical brings to life the journey of young Dorothy Gale as she travels from Kansas to the magical Land of Oz, featuring iconic songs like "Over the Rainbow" and "Ding Dong! The Witch Is Dead!"

 

The production showcases the talents of 70 young performers, aged 7 to 14, from South Orange, Maplewood, and neighboring communities.

 

These dedicated students have been rehearsing diligently to deliver a performance that promises to captivate audiences of all ages.

 

Performances are scheduled for Friday, May 8 at 5:00 PM; Saturday, May 9 at 11:00 AM and 5:00 PM; and Sunday, May 10 at 1:00 PM.
