The Maplewood Strollers will debut their much-anticipated production of 'Narnia The Musical' at the historic Burgdorff Theater in Maplewood, beginning January 23, 2026.

Audiences can journey with four siblings as they discover the enchanting world of Narnia, inspired by C.S. Lewis’s classic tale, where bravery and wisdom are put to the test against magical foes.

The production features both evening and weekend matinee performances through early February.

General admission is $30, while seniors and students can attend for $25.

The Maplewood Foundation celebrated its third annual “Celebrate Our Community” event, gathering nearly 200 people to honor its 2025 grant recipients and kickstart next year’s fundraising.

Through ticket sales, auctions, and donations, the Foundation raised an impressive $102,672.

President Fred Profeta highlighted the organization’s goal to surpass $100,000 in community grants for 2026, with this year’s awarding reaching $92,900—over 30% more than last year.

Grants were distributed to 12 nonprofits, including Columbia High School Scholarship Fund, Family Connections, MEND, Rent Party Pantry, and other local organizations supporting education, food security, the arts, and accessibility.

Since its founding, the Foundation has funded 29 programs, totaling $212,900.

The event featured engaging performances and a lively auction, with all proceeds invested back into the community for lasting impact.

The Foundation continues to encourage direct giving to local nonprofits alongside its own annual cycles.
