Springfield Avenue in Maplewood burst with color and excitement on Sunday, May 17, 2026, as thousands gathered for the beloved MayFest street fair.
The event stretched from Indiana Street to Rutgers Street, filling several blocks with energy and local pride.
More than one hundred vendors showcased handcrafted wares and mouthwatering foods, while live music echoed throughout the day. Performers like the Alex Desrivieres Band, Manuela Zapata, and Lynette Sheard, curated by Gregory Burrus Productions, treated guests to jazz, blues, and Broadway favorites.
Young families found joy in bounce houses at 1797 Springfield Avenue and a whimsical trackless train near 1925 Springfield Avenue. Soccer fans flocked to the NY/NJ World Cup Fan Bus at the Yale Parking Lot for giveaways and interactive fun.
